Keep your resume up to date – you will use it a TON next year (use the Resume Builder in NAVIANCE)
Prepare for Entrance Tests
If you plan to attend a Four-Year college or university, you will need to take the ACT.
•The ACT test is given seven times per year at testing centers (Grand Island and Hastings are
the closest to DT). Cost is $63.
•Many students elect to take the test more than once to maximize their scores. In order to
adequately prepare for the test, it is recommended that you take it at least ONE time
before your senior year.
•Locate information about the ACT exams (registration, test dates, test preparation,
general information) on the ACT page of Mrs. Sjuts’s website.
•Registration is usually due approximately one month before each test date.
If you plan to attend a Two-Year college, you will need to research what requirements are for pre-enrollment assessments
• Each two-year or vocational college will accept your state ACT but there may be additional
opportunities for assessments that would be to your benefit.
These may include the NWEA assessments that we have at school, a COMPASS,
ACCUPLACER, or other test provided by the college.
Mrs. Sjuts can assist you with these options and researching what you may need.
